Icelandair flights between Keflavík, Iceland and the Faroe Islands operate to Vágar Airport 5-6 times a week from April 10 to October 26, 2025, with a flight time of approximately two hours. This Fly & Drive package to the Faroe Islands is available on selected dates this season.
Vágar is the international airport in the Faroe Islands, and we recommend stopping there for a look at the beginning or end of your trip. There are 18 islands that make up the Faroe Islands, located approximately midway between Iceland, Norway and northern Scotland. The islands have a range of mountains suitable for hiking, impressive waterfalls and rugged but beautiful rock cliffs. Likewise, the bird life of the islands is like no other.
In Tórshavn, the capital of the Faroe Islands, you can find everything that a capital city needs, such as an art and history museum, a town center, architecture of the past, restaurants and various cultural activities. It takes approximately 35 minutes to drive from Vágar Airport to Tórshavn.
